Lore & Background

Plans for a revival were first considered in 2013, and in June 2014 a new series of 52 episodes was announced for broadcast on CBBC in 2015. Original series co-creator Brian Cosgrove helped develop the series as a creative consultant. The main cast was announced in 2014, with Alexander Armstrong voicing Danger Mouse, Kevin Eldon as Penfold, Stephen Fry as Colonel K, and Ed Gaughan as Baron Greenback. The series is directed by Robert Cullen and animated in Toon Boom Harmony, as the animators found Flash too limited. Voice recording for several characters took place at Windmill Lane Studios in Dublin, Ireland.
